Aluminum flat bars are a frequently used raw material and semi-finished product that are available in a variety of dimensions.

These aluminum rods are usually pressed in the AlMgSi0.5 alloy and have a production length of 6 meters.

The areas of application for aluminum flat bars are very broad.

Whether as a raw material or semi-finished product for further CNC processing and finishing or as a permanently cut profile with a surface coating, to decorate an object or as a finishing edge in handcrafted furniture production.

MWM offers aluminum rods in various surfaces, such as chrome-plated, natural-colored anodized, stainless steel-colored anodized as standard surfaces.

Other anodized surfaces, such as black and bronze, are also possible on request.

We also offer a cutting service for all aluminum bars and aluminum profiles.

On our CNC-controlled sawing systems we offer you cuts from 15 mm to 5900 mm with a tolerance of 0.1 - 1 mm. (depending on saw length)

In the aluminum profile segment we also offer you round bars, round tubes, square bars, square tubes, angle profiles, T-profiles, U-profiles and Z-profiles.

The above-mentioned standards regulate the tolerances of the limit dimensions, alloy components, properties and delivery conditions of a material.

When refining aluminum flat bar profiles, the limit dimensions and the alloy components are of particular importance. The limit dimensions not only describe the external dimensions of the aluminum flat bar profile with the tolerance dimensions but also the maximum tolerable roughness depth of the aluminum flat bar profile. (Press structure, press groove depth, waviness, …)

Refined aluminum flat bar profiles in standard stock quality always have visible ripples and press structures, which cannot be removed for production reasons.

Reason: The standard storage quality is originally only designed for technical applications.

The alloy components provide information about which substances are in the aluminum flat bars -Profile can be pressed together. Aluminum flat bar profiles in standard stock quality may contain alloy components that are disruptive to finishing and lead to small surface defects such as specks, small holes or dark stripes. The above-mentioned material-related appearances do not justify a complaint, as we cannot influence this. Beyond this, better surfaces can only be achieved with specially manufactured aluminum flat bar profiles, whereby the purity and surface quality are then taken into account. t of the raw material can be better limited and can therefore also produce an even better final surface. However, a minimum pressing quantity of 500 kg and, if necessary, the purchase of a special tool for production are required.
