AlMgSi0.5 F22
(EN AW 6060 T 66)
Available surfaces**
Bright chrome plated
Stainless steel colored anodized
Natural color anodized (E6EV1)
Other surfaces on request.
*) Due to manufacturing reasons, it is possible that there may be slight deviations with the maximum length of 6,000 mm.
ATTENTION: For small quantities up to 500 kg, for anodized surfaces, the maximum length is 5,030 mm due to manufacturing reasons.
**) Due to production reasons, it is possible that there is no surface coating on the contact surfaces at the ends of the profiles (up to 80 mm)
Lengths up to 6,000 mm*
Round tubes
The aluminum round tube profiles are delivered in standard stock quality. What does that mean?
Standard stock quality means that the raw material or the raw aluminum round tube profile according to the following: Standards were produced:
EN 573-3
Chemical composition and product forms
EN 755-2
Mechanical properties/Mechanical properties
EN 755-1
Technical terms of delivery
EN 755-3/-4/-5/-9
Profiles, tolerances on dimensions and form
The above-mentioned standards regulate the tolerances of the limit dimensions, alloy components, properties and delivery conditions of a material.
When refining aluminum round tube profiles, the limiting dimensions and the alloy components are of particular importance. The limit dimensions not only describe the external dimensions of the aluminum round tube profile with the tolerance dimensions but also the maximum tolerable roughness depth of the aluminum round tube profile. (pressing structure, pressing groove depth, waviness, ...)
Refined aluminum round tube profiles in standard stock quality always have visible ripples and pressed structures that cannot be removed for production reasons.
Reason: The standard bearing quality was originally only designed for technical applications.
The alloy components provide information about which materials are pressed together in the aluminum round tube profile. Aluminum round tube profiles in standard stock quality can contain alloy components that are disruptive to finishing and lead to small surface defects such as specks, small holes or dark stripes. The above-mentioned material-related appearances do not justify any complaint as we cannot influence this. However, experience shows that these “surface characteristics” usually remain unrecognized because they are hardly noticeable visually.
Better surfaces beyond this can only be achieved with specially manufactured aluminum round tube profiles, whereby you can then better limit the purity and surface quality of the raw material and thus create an even better final surface. However, a minimum pressing quantity of 500 kg and, if necessary, the purchase of a special tool for production are required.
